North Okanagan Social Planning Council aims to improve the quality of life for area residents by addressing the social, health, economic and environmental needs of the community. They want everyone to be involved as much as possible in the community.

Affordable housing is a large part of their work. The Council also runs the Vernon and District Volunteer Bureau, and a seniors’ drop-in service.

With funding from Vancouver Foundation, the Council is taking a proactive approach to social issues as the Vernon area continues to grow.
